Amy Thatcher is one of the UKs leading professional accordionists. She is based in the North East of England. Her work has taken her across the world from The Royal Albert Hall to the Rainforest World Music Festival in Malaysia. Amy’s compositions have been played and recorded by various artists including Scottish supergroup The Shee, electronic folk quintet The Monster Ceilidh Band and Kathryn Tickell & The Side. Amy excels at writing beautiful slow tunes for the accordion. If you would prefer something a bit more challenging and funky, with a bit of syncopation, she is very happy to do that too!
